IAsMA was honored to participate in the 20th Ilan Ramon International Space Conference, Israel’s premier event dedicated to space exploration. This annual gathering brings together researchers, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders from Israel and around the world, providing a dynamic platform to discuss advancements in space science, technology, and human spaceflight.
Showcasing Aerospace Medicine with Technoda
In collaboration with the Technoda Science and Technology Education Center, we presented an interactive model of the human body, demonstrating the physiological changes that occur in space. This exhibit allowed visitors to explore the effects of microgravity on human biology and the challenges astronauts face during extended missions.
IAsMA CEO Summer Sofer, along with students Aviv Azmanov and Sheizaf Shpilberg, engaged with attendees, answered questions, and demonstrated how aerospace medicine plays a critical role in human spaceflight. Using advanced medical equipment, they provided insights into how space conditions impact human physiology and how medical innovations developed for space can benefit healthcare on Earth.
Expanding Awareness of Aerospace Medicine
Participating in this conference was an important step in increasing awareness of aerospace medicine in Israel and showcasing its relevance to the broader space industry. Events like these help bridge the gap between medicine, technology, and space exploration, ensuring that human health remains at the forefront of future missions.
Looking Ahead
IAsMA remains committed to advancing aerospace medicine and inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers, and medical professionals. We look forward to continuing our mission to integrate aerospace medicine into Israel’s growing space sector.
