Our Annual Community Event
LUCA 2025
We’re happy to host LUCA 2025 in partnership with: I-NEXT – The Research, Development & Innovation Center of Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov).
Our name, LUCA, which stands for Linking Us: Community & Advancement, reflects the mission of this event: to connect and strengthen Israel’s growing aerospace medicine ecosystem.
The First of Its Kind
Featuring Oren Milstein, PhD, CEO of StemRAD, a Multidisciplinary Panel of experts exploring how aerospace medicine is shaping the future of healthcare, and a Student Research Spotlight.
LUCA 2025 will bring together students, researchers, clinicians, engineers, and industry professionals to build connections, share knowledge, and foster new opportunities in this emerging field. The event highlights how aerospace medicine, a multidisciplinary field spanning aviation, spaceflight, health, and technology, drives innovation for both space and healthcare on Earth.

Dr. Oren Milstein
Dr. Oren Milstein, CEO and co-founder of StemRad, will discuss the company’s groundbreaking AstroRad radiation-protection vest, developed in collaboration with NASA and Lockheed Martin. The suit, designed to shield astronauts from harmful cosmic radiation, represents a major leap forward in aerospace medicine. Dr. Milstein will highlight how innovations created for space exploration are also shaping new protective solutions for first-responders and healthcare workers here on Earth.
